The High-Street Cardigans to Have on Hand This October

Out of all our knitwear options, cardigans arguably have the greatest nostalgic associations, and while they might remind us of our school days, 2022’s high-street iterations are anything but childish. The ideal throw-on layer for the changeable British weather, I’ve been wearing mine when sat at my desk and in need of warming or an extra layer, or when the temperature drops in the evening.

Two of the brands that top our AW22 wishlist are not designer offerings, but Arket and & Other Stories. Clearly, the high street is the place to be right now when it comes to cardigans. A bit of online research confirmed this, and let’s just say we now have a few new additions to our new season capsule. From M&S’s clean-lined styles and H&M’s longline knits to Mango’s colour pop hues and Stories stand-out wrap styles, scroll down to shop our favourite cardigans on the high street now.

Cosy up this autumn with a tank top and your fave pair of jeans.

If you’re in need of a polished pick-me-up, make like Grece and throw an animal-print style with a pair of tailored trousers.

The intricate braiding is so beautiful.

The 2022 version of & Other Stories’ iconic asymmetric cardigan.

This looks so cosy.

& Other Stories keeps reissuing this wrap cardigan as its such a classic.

I’ll take the whole look, please.

It’s all about the details of this cardigan.

This chic crop also comes in charcoal grey.

This looks so soft.

The collar adds a refined touch.

One for the print lovers.

I plan to wrap up in this all autumn long.

The colour! The wrap!

A cosy layering piece.

Stripes are eternally chic.

This cardigan is high on my wish list.

Some of the best cashmere on the high-street.

Add a preppy twist this autumn.

This colour suits everyone.

If you run cold, merino wool will definitely keep you toasty.

A classic black cardigan is a true wardrobe hero.

Mango’s bold offering comes in sizes up to 4XL.

For the cosiest outfit, pair with the matching leggings and top.

We think this will be a minimalist favourite.

Looking for something a little different?

This cream hue will go with everything in your wardrobe.
